Our Wedding week activities
We are inviting many guests from outside the US as well as from other states, and we know that there are only two times in life all of these special people come together-your wedding and your funeral. And maybe your coronation, if applicable. We’re only going to be present for one of those times, so we want to spend every day with all of you as we prepare for the wedding. Please browse the activities and plan accordingly. International guests will be provided with complimentary accommodations with local friends. Please let us know if you need a place to stay or transportation during your time here by March 1.
Sunday
After a typical American breakfast (meaning you’re now a candidate for diabetes and heart disease), we will go to the meeting in the afternoon. Then we’ll enjoy a summer cookout and bonfire.
Tuesday
New York City: One of our favorite cities and so close to where we live. We can’t wait to bring our guests on a MET Bible tour from 10:00-1:30. After that we will explore Central park, take the Staten Island Ferry, and cross the Brooklyn Bridge to one of the best Pizzerias in America.
Please note: We will stay near the city for the night on Monday. Accommodations may be anywhere between $20-75/pp depending on group size. Please let us know if you’re coming!
Wednesday
Boston: Our favorite American city! (Except for San Diego but shh…) We’ll take a kayak trip on the Charles River, a tour of the Sam Adams Brewery, visit MIT and Harvard, and walk the Freedom Trail-the major monuments along Boston’s 400-year old downtown where the American Revolution began.
Thursday
New Hampshire: The White Mountains feature some of the most stunning scenery in New England. We’ll do a day hike and explore the small towns around central New Hampshire.
Friday
Massachusetts: We will stay local and finalize plans for the wedding. The rehearsal will be at 4:30 and the location is tbd.
Saturday
Grafton, Massachusetts: The wedding ceremony will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, May 16. The reception will follow.
A buffet will feature:
appetizers: coconut shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms, grilled pizza
entrees: cedar planked salmon, burgers, chicken fajitas
sides: mac&cheese, grilled veggie kabob, seafood paella
dessert: blueberry crumble
Guests will be treated to an open bar as well as a moon bounce for children. If you would like to provide specialty food items, please contact Jon or Natacha.
